Abstract
The aim of this essay is to make a critical reflection on male sexuality during adult
life, highlighting some of its characteristics, influencing factors and what can be
done to improve sexual and affective relationships.
Diversity among men is too wide to make any generalisations, even though they
might be based on statistics, they can be unfair and create prejudices that could
