tronomy at a good price... Portugal is hip. It’s the destina-
tion that everyone’s looking at, including the MICE segment,
in which it occupies one of the top positions worldwide.
Lisbon
Lisbon oers numerous spaces, as MEO Arena, Camões ea-
tre and the Casino, at the Parque de las Naciones. In the same
area is the Oceanário de Lisboa aquarium, which is also used
as a premier venue. Once in the centre, there is the Carlos
Lopes Pavilion, as well as the Torreão Nascente, Estufa Fria or
Campo Pequeno. In the Belem area, we can nd the Museum
of Art, Architecture and Technology (MAAT), the Electricity
Museum, the Belém Cultural Centre, the Berardo Collection
Museum and even the Jerónimos Monastery, some of whose
spaces can be privatised. Of course, the largest spaces in the
city are the Lisbon Congress Centre and, for huge events, the
Benca and Sporting stadiums.
Other Cities
For its part, Porto has references such as the Alfândega Con-
gress Centre, one of the best in Portugal, next to the Duero
River, as well as the Stock Exchange Palace, the Serralves
Foundation, the Europarque or the Exponor. e country has
much more to oer. Guimarães, Aveiro, Estoril or the Algarve
region also have excellent infrastructure.
Incentives
A trip over both land and water is another original way to
explore Lisbon. e amphibious bus of Lisbon, also known as
HippoTrip, oers a guided group tour (of about an hour and a
half) to some of the most interesting tourist sites. e hybrid
tour begins in Doca de Santo Amaro, in the neighbourhood
of Alcantara, and navigates hidden streets before launching
into the Tagus River, cruising for thirty minutes down the es-
tuary to the area of Belém.
As an incentive idea for September and October, there is
one event well worth considering: the International Festival
of Sand Sculpture on the beaches of Pera, in the Algarve.
is is the most major event of its kind in the world. What is
more, this can prove a novel team-building idea if the group
gets together to create their own works. e theme changes
every year.
Fado
Melancholic and proud, the traditional sound of fado is a re-
ection of the sombre soul of Lisbon. is music has trans-
formed many parts of the Portuguese capital and today is
considered an emblem of this region. e best fado is to be
found in the somewhat gloomy alleys of the Alfama district,
although you can hear it on almost any city corner.

En la zona del Parque de las Naciones destacan espacios
como el Arena, el Teatro Camões y el Casino. En la mis-
ma zona se encuentra el Oceanário, que también se usa como
venue de primer nivel. Ya en el centro destacan el Pabellón
Carlos Lopes, Torreão Nascente, Estufa Fría y Campo Peque-
ño. En la zona de Belem están el Museo del Arte, la Arquitec-
tura y la Tecnología (), el Museo de la Electricidad, el
Centro Cultural de Belém, el Museu Coleção Berardo y hasta
el mismísimo Monasterio de los Jerónimos, algunos de cu-
yos espacios se pueden privatizar. Los espacios más grandes
de la ciudad son el Congress Center Lisboa y, para enormes
eventos, los estadios del Benca y del Sporting.
Otras ciudades
Oporto tiene como referencias el Centro de Congresos de Al-
fandega, uno de los mejores de Portugal, junto al río Duero; el
Palacio de la Bolsa, la Fundación Serralves, el Europarque o
la Exponor. El país tiene mucho más que ofrecer. Guimarães,
Aveiro, Estoril o la región del Algarve también cuentan con
excelentes infraestructuras.
Incentivos
Un paseo por tierra y agua puede ser una original opción para
conocer Lisboa. El autobús anbio de Lisboa, también cono-
cido como HippoTrip, realiza una ruta guiada para grupos de
aproximadamente hora y media por algunos de los lugares
turísticos más interesantes. El recorrido híbrido comienza en
la Doca de Santo Amaro, en el barrio de Alcántara, y recorre
recónditas calles antes de llegar al río Tajo para navegar unos
treinta minutos por el estuario hasta la zona de Belém.
Para incentivos en septiembre y octubre hay una cita a
tener en cuenta: el Festival Internacional de Esculturas de
Arena, en las playas de Pêra, en el Algarve. Se trata del evento
de estas características más importante del mundo. Además,
puede ser una idea original de team building si se convoca al
grupo para crear sus propias obras. La temática va cambian-
do cada año.
El fado
Melancólico y orgulloso, el sonido tradicional del fado es un
reejo del alma taciturna de Lisboa. Esta música ha conver-
tido muchos lugares de la capital lusa en auténticos emble-
mas. El mejor fado reside en los lúgubres callejones del barrio
de Alfama, aunque se puede escuchar casi en cualquier rin-
cón de la ciudad.
